mOONtransformeisha 1

Mucho.

Metric is a Canadian indie rock band. Originally formed in Toronto, the band has also, at various times been based in Montreal, London, New York City and Los Angeles.

The band consists of vocalist Emily Haines (who also plays the synthesizer and guitar), guitarist James Shaw (who also plays the theremin), bassist Josh Winstead and drummer Joules Scott-Key. Their first full-length album, Old World Underground, Where Are You Now?, was released in 2003 and earned a Juno Award nomination for Best Alternative Album. Live It Out was released on October 4, 2005 and was nominated for the 2006 Polaris Music Prize for the Canadian Album of The Year and once again the Juno Award nomination for Best Alternative Album.

The first album the band recorded, Grow Up and Blow Away, was finally released on June 26, 2007 by Last Gang Records. The album was originally recorded for Rykodisc Records early in the band's career; however, it was not released at the time, due to internal changes at the company.

Haines and Shaw also perform with Broken Social Scene, and Haines has been a guest on albums by Stars, KC Accidental, The Stills, and Jason Collett. Scott-Key and Winstead have their own side project, Bang Lime, and Haines has released a solo album and companion EP, Knives Don't Have Your Back and What Is Free to a Good Home?, respectively, under the name Emily Haines and the Soft Skeleton.

Their songs "Monster Hospital", "Police and the Private" and "Front Row" have been used on the television show Grey's Anatomy. "Monster Hospital" has also been used in CSI: Miami and "Gold Guns Girls" has been used on Gossip Girl, Zombieland, Entourage and Grey's Anatomy, as well as EA Sports soccer game FIFA 10. Gossip Girl also featured "Gimme Sympathy" in the same episode. Their song "Help I'm Alive" is also featured in NBA 2K10, a National Basketball Association simulations game produced by 2K Sports.

Their fourth studio album Fantasies (previously scheduled for an April 14 release) was released in Canada and the United States on April 7, 2009. It was shortlisted for the 2009 Polaris Music Prize for Canadian album of the year.

El guitarrista de Blog Party y un nuevo project

Time Crisis', on the other hand, is the second track from Bloc Party's Russell Lissack and vocalist Milena Mepris from Black Moustache. It's a shimmering electro-pop juggernaut with enough ooomph to see you through from here to Monday. Download it here and let us know what you think. Get more info on the band at pinmedown.net.

Comentarios en el blog 1 del Xperia

A continuación un comentario que puse en la página de sony ericksson dedicada a su nuevo teléfono (que ellos no quieren llamar teléfono, sino objeto) Xperia.

Your comment will appear in approximately five minutes.
Here is the thing: the campaign design is great! This link design is very elegant and yes, pure.
But here comes the problem: when The Sony Ericsson Xperia Pureness desgin team expose the concept they talk as if there isn´t anything around like that. And we all know that your competion is the i pod.
All the concept, strategy and tactis are targeted to hit ipod. I think is fine, and its quite a challenge.
the thing is that: talking a lot of Xperia as something pure, and then talking again without showing us a demo of why and how is this “object” so pure, provokes the contrary reaction:
show me, don´t tell me.
And it´s almost imposible not to remember Apple. Remember: when they launched Ipod they simply (simply) presented a video of the ipod performance with only one finger!
That´s simplicity, and purity.
Dont´get me wrong. I love this links, Black and White designs are distinctive of elegance, simplicity, purity and avant garde. I guess we will have to wait for the demo.
From this point of view, Xperia looks less than and ipod and more as LG touch phones.
thanks for reading this.

I like when Martin Raymond says that people want things made "just for thems".

But I most say that I do not agree on mostly everthing he said. That doesn´t mean that I don´t admire The Future Laboratory work but:

1. He talks of a generation who´s getting trouble handling technology. Well, he´s talking about a generation that doesn´t belong to his target.

Unfortunatly if some people does not get along with technology, they (or we) are going to be outcast automatically from the forecast world. So it is a contradiction that he actually put it as "a problem to consider" because he es thinking and working for the generations that already know how important technology is.

Note: its a little confusing the information you wrote in regards of one new book that is going to be published in 2009??? If you just started with this blog (ok in December) the book already is published or otherwise be published in 2010. Giving this information like that tend to make us feel that you are not updated...so, how some you talk about being well informed?
